About Kioku

Kioku (記憶 — "memory" in Japanese) is built by Caura, a company focused on making AI agent fleets smarter through shared, governed memory.

The Problem

AI agents forget everything between sessions. When you run a fleet of agents — researchers, analysts, coordinators — each one starts from scratch every time. Knowledge gets lost. Mistakes get repeated. Agents can't learn from each other.

Our Solution

Kioku gives your agent fleet persistent, governed, shared memory. Agents store what they learn, share it across the fleet with access controls, and retrieve relevant context when they need it. Trust scoring, conflict resolution, and tamper-evident audit logs keep everything safe.

How It Works

  • 01Agents connect via MCP (Model Context Protocol) or REST API
  • 02Memories are stored with embeddings, trust scores, and access scopes
  • 03Fleet-scoped sharing lets agents learn from each other with fine-grained permissions
  • 04Conflict resolution handles contradictions automatically
  • 05The Console gives you full visibility into what your agents remember and share

Open Source Roots

Kioku started as Engram, an open-source project for governed memory in AI agent fleets. The core engine remains open source at github.com/caura-ai/engram. Kioku is the hosted, managed version — so you can focus on building agents instead of running infrastructure.
